Franciscan Gathering and Transitus of St. Francis
St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Durtlang, successfully organized a Franciscan Gathering and the Transitus of St. Francis on 3rd October 2026.
The Franciscan Gathering began at 10:00 a.m. and brought together around 70 members from different Franciscan families. The programme included fellowship, sharing, and other activities, followed by lunch.
In the afternoon, at 1:00 p.m., the parish organized the Transitus of St. Francis along with the celebration of the Indulgence. The dramatized presentation of the final moments and death of St. Francis was witnessed by approximately 300 faithful. The presentation provided a prayerful and moving reflection on the life, faith, and final journey of our Seraphic Father.
The entire programme was a great success, bringing together members of the Franciscan family and the parish community in fraternity, prayer, and devotion to St. Francis of Assisi. It was a memorable occasion for our parish and a fitting way to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the Transitus of St. Francis.
